We were very fortunate to be able to partner with our friends at C3 Ranch to purchase JDH Mr. Francisco Manso 229/9 from the J.D. Hudgins Show Barn. Like most in the breed we realized the value in Francisco as he is a son of the National & International Champion and Vanguard Sire (+)JDH Woodson De Manso 206/7. Not only is Woodson one of the most popular sires in the Brahman breed globally due to the success of his progeny in the show ring but he has produced enough Maternal Merit Dams to deserve the Maternal Performance Sire designation making him an “All Around” sire. To further strengthen the pedigree of Francisco is his dam who is a Maternal Merit Dam due to her ability to calf at an early age, have a calf each year and wean offspring heavier than her contemporaries. It should also be noted that the pedigree of =JDH Lady Faze Manso combines two International Champions, 3 Register of Renown’s and a Vanguard Sire further proving her value as an influential dam. Although JDH Mr. Franciso Manso 229/9 is backed by a breed leading pedigree it was his stout structured, deep ribbed, heavy muscled build with ideal breed character that lead us to choose him. Not only is he built right with an impressive pedigree but he should produce small offspring that grow quickly with daughters that are heavy milkers as indicated by his performance profile.
